We're looking for compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Support Assistants to join our Inclusive Learning team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting students with a range of additional learning needs, disabilities and, where required, personal care needs, helping them develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to succeed.

Working closely with teaching staff and specialist colleagues, you'll provide personalised support both in and out of the classroom, enabling learners to fully participate in college life and achieve their educational goals.

What you'll do:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Support learners with personal care, mobility, eating, medication administration and the use of specialist equipment where required.
• Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual learner needs and promote independence.
• Support students in developing their literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Encourage positive attendance, behaviour, engagement and participation in learning.
• Assist students through periods of change and transition during their time at college.
• Work collaboratively with lecturers, SEND Practitioners and other support staff to deliver personalised support.
• Contribute to student reviews, progress monitoring and the maintenance of accurate learner records.
• Support learners requiring Access Arrangements during examinations.
• Build positive relationships with students while promoting their confidence, wellbeing and independence.

What we're looking for:

• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths, or a willingness to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Experience supporting young people, particularly those with SEND, learning differences, disabilities or sensory impairments.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A calm, patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to support learners through challenging situations.
• Experience supporting personal care or medical needs would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
• A proactive, flexible attitude with a genuine commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Salary: £20,474 per annum (Actual salary)
Full Time Equivalent (FTE): £29,574 per annum
Working pattern: 1.0 FTE, 36 weeks per year.
