About the role and you

The role of Incentive Travel & Events Director – Ballpark will report to the CEO – Ballpark and will lead the delivery team responsible for bringing Ballpark’s events, incentive programs, ticketing and hospitality experiences to life.

This role combines senior oversight with hands-on involvement in high-stakes execution. It improves communication, collaboration and operational structure across the business and ensures the team has the focus, capability and resources to deliver consistently excellent outcomes. It is accountable for driving confidence with clients, enhancing team performance and developing processes that scale with our growth ambitions.

The ideal candidate we are looking for will have:

  • Proven senior operations leadership in live events, sports, entertainment, hospitality and experiences.
  • Track record of delivering complex programs with tight timelines and high client visibility.
  • Strong people leadership, building high-performing teams, clear expectations, feedback culture, and talent development.
  • Commercial acumen, budget management, cost optimisation, vendor negotiations, and margin discipline.
  • Client-facing credibility with excellent stakeholder management, communication, and issue resolution.
  • Operational risk & compliance knowledge (WHS, venue/permit requirements, crowd management, incident reporting).
  • Tech-savvy with event/ticketing platforms, production schedules, and collaboration tools.
  • Calm under pressure, resilient, and highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
