A Day in the Life

Join Medtronic’s Distribution Center in Heerlen and play an important role in supporting the efficient flow of life-changing medical technologies into our supply chain. As an Inbound Support Office Employee, you will help ensure inbound shipments are processed accurately, documentation is complete, and materials are available for further handling in the warehouse and broader business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys structured work, coordination across teams, and contributing to a healthcare environment where operational quality directly supports patients and customers.

This role is based on-site at the Medtronic Distribution Center in Heerlen and works closely with warehouse operations, transport providers, customer-facing teams, and internal support functions. You will report to the relevant inbound and support teams and help manage inbound administration, shipment follow-up, exception handling and problem solving.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Coordinate inbound shipments and monitor delivery schedules to support timely and accurate receipt of goods
• Review shipment documentation and maintain accurate inbound data in SAP
• Act as a point of contact for carriers, suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders regarding delivery status, discrepancies, and operational issues
• Investigate and help resolve inbound exceptions such as quantity variances, damaged goods, missing documents, or system mismatches etc
• Support inbound administration activities to ensure inventory accuracy, product traceability, and smooth warehouse execution
• Ensure inbound processes are performed in accordance with internal procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare operational reports, monitor inbound performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Previous experience in inbound logistics, supply chain, warehouse administration, or a similar support role
• Good administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience working with Microsoft Office and business systems such as SAP
• Ability to communicate clearly in English
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
