The Inbound Manager is responsible for all Receivers and Put-Away Team Members at the Distribution Center. The Inbound Supervisor's key responsibility is to ensure Receivers follow Cardenas Markets Receiving Policy and that every pallet received is staged and stored properly and in a reasonable time, without damaging or jeopardizing the quality of the products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage Receiving schedule, ensuring there are enough Team Members to fulfil the daily inbound demand.
  • Ensure that all PO'S are received accordantly to their schedule and with the proper Bill of Lading (BOL).
  • Make sure all products staged pass by Quality Control Department before BOL sign in.
  • Ensure Team Members are working in a safe environment and always following safety rules.
  • Check all label print outs are placed on the right corner of the corresponding pallet.
  • At the end of the day, send the number of trailers used for storage with the proper quantity and SKU information.
  • Email report of any PO received after receiving hours and/or without appointment.
  • Allocate a unique PIT to each Team Member and ensure they are accountable for any misuse or damage.
  • Supervise every Team Members' performance.
  • Accountable to meet financial goal: KPI and labor budget.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Teamwork oriented and self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Good attendance and punctual; must show up on time and able to work scheduled shifts and mandatory overtime.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Electric pallet jack and reach experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, Team Member is required to stand for long periods of time. Additional requirements include frequent lifting of material up to 75 pounds; frequently twisting, turning, reaching, pushing, and pulling; handle tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching. Experience on the use of an electric pallet jack and reach is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is normally performed in a warehouse/production environment. As part of the job requirements, Team Members may be exposed to work in a production setting and in extreme temperatures (10 to 100 degrees) at times. Facility regularly processes known food allergens, including peanuts. Must be flexible with work schedule that supports a 24-hour production facility. Schedule may include weekends and overtime.
