Job Description

Responsible for the inbound flow of goods into the distribution. Partnering with the Inbound leadership team to schedule inbound containers, check in inbound deliveries and move loads through Bluviz to ensure timely receipt of goods ahead of the Last Free Day and while avoiding per diem, storage or bobtail fees.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Administrative support to the inbound and inventory function
  • Serve as a single point of contact for scheduling inbound freight
  • Work with Inbound Mgr/Supv to ensure the timely unload of freight and within Last Free Day (LFD) parameters
  • Manage Street Turn to ensure containers are processed through to completion and we maintain strong internal controls to avoid per diem, storage, bob tail fees by managing inbound flow to the Last Free Day
  • Responsible for coordinating and ensuring we have documented OS&D’s and report timely to the business unit, carrier, vendor, stakeholders
  • Review inbound Shipment Notifications to assist Inbound Mgr/Supv with balancing workload/labor requirements

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D., college degree preferred
  • A basic knowledge of inbound scheduling
  • Proficient using all Microsoft office products
  • Work history, of prioritizing and communicating work streams in a fast paced logistical environment
