The Inbound Agent (Receiving) / Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting inbound warehouse operations by receiving, unloading, inspecting, documenting, and organizing incoming shipments within the distribution center. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely receipt of goods, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating forklifts and material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position requires strong coordination with warehouse teams, shipping carriers, inventory control, and operations personnel.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday (Weekends as needed)

Start Time: 5:00AM to 7:00 AM (subject to business needs)

End Time: 1:30PM-5:30PM (subject to business needs)

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect inbound shipments for accuracy, damages, and shortages.

· Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (reach, sit‑down, stand‑up, or pallet jack as required) to unload inbound shipments.

  • Verify shipment quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Accurately enter and update receiving information within warehouse management systems (WMS) and internal databases.
  • Label, organize, and stage inbound inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Support inventory control by reporting discrepancies, damages, or missing items.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, logistics, and operations teams regarding inbound deliveries and inventory issues.
  • Assist with pallet breakdown, repalletizing, and product organization when needed.
  • Maintain clean and organized receiving and warehouse areas.
  • Follow company safety procedures and warehouse operational guidelines at all times.
  • Support additional warehouse and operational tasks as assigned by management or team leads.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of warehouse receiving, distribution, logistics, or forklift operating experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience required.
  • Experience operating sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or pallet jack equipment preferred.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with changing priorities.

Physical / Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, stretch, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with heavier lifting requiring assistance.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise.
  • Frequent operation of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Steel toe shoes required.
  • Ability to safely move pallets, boxes, and materials throughout warehouse and dock areas.
