The IT Functional Head for Digital Transformation & S/4HANA at DCIN is a highly strategic and visionary leader responsible for spearheading the organization's digital transformation journey, with a particular focus on leveraging the S/4HANA platform as the digital core. This role drives significant change across business processes, technology landscapes, and organizational culture. This position requires exceptional leadership, deep technical and business acumen, and a proven ability to deliver impactful digital change at scale within a global, diversified enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Transformation Strategy & Vision:

  • Define and articulate a compelling digital transformation strategy for the assigned organization, aligning with DC global IT vision and business unit objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize key digital initiatives (beyond just SAP) that drive significant business value, process optimization, and enhanced customer experiences.
  • Act as a change agent, inspiring and guiding the organization through digital adoption and cultural shifts.
  • Continuously monitor technological trends (e.g., AI, IoT, Cloud, Automation, Analytics) and assess their applicability to DC digital transformation agenda.

2. SAP S/4HANA as Digital Core Enabler:

  • Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of S/4HANA as the core ERP backbone for digital transformation.
  • Drive the adoption of S/4HANA best practices, Fiori-first approach, and embedded analytics to unlock new levels of business insight and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the architectural design and governance of the S/4HANA landscape, ensuring its scalability, security, and integration capabilities for future digital innovations.

3. Solution Architecture & Delivery Excellence:

  • Lead the design and delivery of integrated digital solutions, ensuring they are robust, user-centric, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Manage a complex portfolio of digital transformation projects, including major S/4HANA programs, ensuring disciplined execution, budget adherence, and risk mitigation.
  • Foster strong collaboration between business and IT teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

4. Leadership & Organizational Change Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of IT and transformation professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and adaptability.
  • Drive organizational change management efforts related to digital transformation, ensuring stakeholder buy-in, user adoption, and skill development across the enterprise.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in defining the digital future.
  • Champion knowledge sharing and best practices across DC global IT and business communities.

5. Ecosystem & Partnership Development:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships with technology vendors, system integrators, and digital innovators to accelerate transformation efforts.
  • Leverage DC internal and external ecosystems to source talent, solutions, and insights for digital initiatives.
  • Represent Bosch at industry forums and events, sharing insights and learning from leading digital practitioners.

6. IT Governance, Security & Performance:

  • Ensure all digital transformation initiatives and S/4 HANA operations adhere to DC global IT standards, cybersecurity policies, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, DPDPA), and compliance requirements.
  • Manage the IT budget for digital transformation, optimizing investments and demonstrating clear value realization.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of digital transformation efforts.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering,

Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with at least 8-10 years in senior leadership roles driving significant IT and business transformation initiatives within a large, global enterprise.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading major digital transformation programs, demonstrating tangible business outcomes.
  • Extensive and hands-on experience with SAP ERP, with a mandatory focus on SAP S/4 HANA implementations, migrations, or major upgrade projects.
  • Strong understanding of related SAP technologies (e.g., SAP BTP, Fiori, Analytics Cloud, Ariba, SuccessFactors) and their integration capabilities.
  • Experience in leveraging emerging technologies (AI/ML, IoT, Cloud platforms, Automation) to drive digital innovation and improve business processes.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, complex IT budgets and strategic vendor relationships.
  • Experience working in a multinational, matrixed, and culturally diverse environment, ideally within manufacturing industry.
