& Summary

To manage and lesioning the tax department in respect to the regular income tax proceedings which Reading the rectification applications, appeal effect letters and lower withholding applications filed by the client teams

Responsibilities:

Regularly liaison with client teams for taking a download of the matter pending before the tax authorities

Assistance to the client team in drafting applications to avoid any errors

Coordinating with the tax authorities for processing the refund, rectification, appeal effect matters and assisting the team in processing the lower withholding tax applications

Briefing senior team members of the issues involved in the matter and accompanying them for meeting with senior tax officials 

Identify the common issues in respect to the proceedings (faceless)

Preparing the responses of the common queries raised during the course of proceedings after discussion with senior team members

Carrying out legal research on various positions and judicial precedents with respect to the aforesaid proceedings

Mandatory Skill sets:

Litigation

Thorough technical knowledge of Direct Tax and International Tax issues
Well versed with various Rules and Procedures regarding dealing with tax authorities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong tax technical skills

Ability to research positions of law and frame legal arguments

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Good interpersonal and networking

Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills

Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving

Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated
