About the Role

BeOne is growing, and we are seeking passionate scientists who are eager to take on new challenges and exciting opportunities. The Functional Assessment of Cell Therapy group at BeOne is looking for a motivated scientist who is enthusiastic about the potential of engineered immune cells in cancer treatment and interested in contributing to drug development through preclinical research.

In this role, you will work closely with Research Investigators to support proof-of-concept studies in rodent models and help build in vivo functional assessment platforms that aim to inform clinical translation of cell-based therapies. The Functional Assessment Group conducts integrated in vitro and in vivo research, evaluating drug potency, pharmacology, biomarkers, histology, toxicology, and other key parameters that support the safety and efficacy of our therapeutic programs.

What You Will Do

  • Support the design and execution of in vivo functional assessment studies to advance preclinical development of cell therapy programs targeting hematological malignancies or solid tumors.
  • Perform oncology mouse studies to evaluate antitumor activity of novel cell therapy candidates and contribute to dose–response and efficacy analyses.
  • Conduct cellular, immunological, and/or histological assays in alignment with study plans and project timelines.
  • Analyze experimental data and present results to project teams in a clear and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in laboratory notebooks and internal systems.
  • Follow established study protocols and ensure work is conducted in accordance with IACUC and internal regulatory guidelines.

Qualification Required:

What We Are Looking For

  • Master’s degree with 4+ years of industrial or academic experience in life sciences or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with rodent models, including administration of therapeutics (e.g., IV and IP dosing), as well as tissue and blood collection.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently organize, analyze, and summarize experimental results, and communicate findings through written reports and/or presentations.
  • Experience with in vitro cell-based assays, such as flow cytometry, luciferase-based assays, or related analytical techniques; hands-on multicolor flow cytometry experience is preferred but training can be provided.
  • Strong teamwork mindset with proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions in a matrixed research environment.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey experimental plans, results, and issues to team members.
  • Proficiency in written English for documentation and reporting.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with animal studies, including handling, necropsy, and awareness of IACUC requirements.
  • Experience in flow cytometry, tissue culture, and biological data analysis.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks while adapting to changing project needs.

What You Should Know

  • Certain animal studies require work at specific time-points; occasional weekend or holiday work may be needed, with advance planning and team coordination.
