Job Description

Job Mission:

  • Achieve highest output in all F&BP in-store VM & animation.
  • Maintain VM consistency and excellence in line with Chanel's standards.
  • Lead the In-store VM team to develop and execute visual merchandising strategies to ensure brand presence, drive sales, and enhance exceptional customer experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a “manager”, understand the business direction and priorities of the F&BP division and identify areas where in-store VM can contribute to achieving them.
  • Establish in-store VM strategies and assess the impact and contribution in alignment with the company’s direction.
  • To achieve goals and expand impact and synergy, obtain collaboration agreement from stakeholders and counterparts, and secure essential resources.
  • Understand the marketing calendar and interpret it by converting it into the in-store VM calendar. Maintain productivity, safety, and continuity through proper job allocation and securing sufficient project resources.
  • Collect results and feedback on projects in an appropriate manner and measure the contribution of in-store VM. Utilize this process as an opportunity for continuous team growth, and share constructive feedback with stakeholders to build trust as a project leader.
  • Manage internal resources through clear evaluation criteria, assign jobs to appropriate team members, and manage team performance.
  • Provide continuous opportunities for team members to understand the division’s strategy and develop their capabilities accordingly. Encourage proactive performance improvement by enhancing the data literacy skills, and clarify achievement standards through KPIs.
  • Draw and manage annual VM budgets based on division's business strategies.
  • Manage whether VM guidelines serve as effective communication tools and are suitable for use in stores. As a result, ensure that in-store VM is maintained in optimal condition.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure consistency and excellence across all POS and oversee to keep abreast of VM quality standard.
  • Involve in store opening and renovation processes to ensure all VM requirements are reflected in the store design.
  • Manage the bidding process to ensure that projects can be carried out within budget, on a schedule, and in line with Chanel’s quality standards.
  • Manage the quality control of production and supervise installation and construction on the site.
  • Supervision of procurement import materials for all projects and maintain a high level of accuracy in forecasting.
  • Develop BA training content and regularly conduct VM training including Store/VM/Maintenance knowledge.

Role Specifications:

Academic / Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a design-related major
  • Preferred major in interior design or visual merchandising
  • Cosmetic Industry experience preferred.
  • Marketing or Retail professionals with experience in managing in-store VM are also eligible to apply.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in retail design and Visual merchandising with direct involvement in strategic planning

Required Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of MS software (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Working knowledge of Graphic & Drafting software (Photoshop, Illustrator, sketchup, AutoCAD)
  • Fluent in verbal and written communication skill in English
