As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.

Responsibilities:

Set up technical standards and governance structure for the enterprise.

· To provide technology architectureexpertiseand guidance across multiple business divisions & technology domains.

·Assistbusiness strategyand accordinglydrive technology strategy from an architecture perspective.

· Setting up technical standards, formulation of Enterprise Architecture (EA)Governance Framework.

· Driving technology strategy from an architecture perspective, across a portfolioofapplicationsin the Bank, for resource optimization and Risk mitigation.

· Translating business requirements into specific system,applicationor process designs, including working with business personnel and executives toidentifyfunctional requirements.

· Define /maintainTarget Architectures in Roadmaps.

· Lead and/orassistefforts to scope and architect major change programs, leading strategic options analysis & proposing end-to-end solutions & highlighting tradeoffs.

· Review ongoing designs of major programs toidentifystrategic opportunities and resolve design issues during delivery.

·Identifykey technology enablers tooptimizeIT investment. Develophighly complexsolutions thatexemplifiesquality optimizationregardingreliability, availability, scalability, manageability, flexibility, usability/reusabilityand high performance.

· Deliver Architecture solutions in a Banking environmentatthe highest-level technicalexpertise

· Lead other IT Architects to provide effective consulting on complex projects including RFP technical evaluations for various businessdomain

· Lead multifunctional teams in successful application of methodologies and architecture modelling tools.

· As anarchitectthe person wouldbe responsible forsuggestionand implementation ofnew technologies

· Develop architectural solutions fornew solutions/ changes to existing applications and solutions to the bank from conceptualization through deployment.

· Understanding enterprise business requirements and mapping them into technical solutions,assistin thescopedefinition.

· Createhigh leveland low-level design documents. ExperienceinUML design tools.

· Develop relevant technical SOPs for rollout. Define metrics to measure performance of applications.

· Create enterprise-wide architectureofapplications ensuring reliability, scalability, manageability, and security compliance.

· Collaborate with key stakeholders inITinfra domain, IT-vendorsand other architects to achieve enterprise business goals.

· Define and understand current state solutions andidentifyimprovements, options & trade-offs to define target state solutions.

· Ensuring compliancetoarchitecture principles and standards as per enterprise requirements.

· Develop POCs,case-studiesand demo presentations for new growth areas based on market research.

· Any othertasks asdeemednecessary by the Bank.

· Ability to create, evaluate reference architectures and ensureenterprisewidebuying,adoption, adherence, and compliance.

·Proficiencyin Programming Languages:Expertisein one or more programming languages commonly used in application development:

• Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Ruby, Go, etc.

· Frameworks & Libraries: Experience with popular development frameworks and libraries such as:

• Spring, .NET, Express.js, Angular, React, Vue.js, Django, Flask, etc.

· Ability to integrate application code into a continuous integration and delivery pipeline, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab Ultimate, etc.

· Experience in open-source framework like Flutter for developing multi-platform applications from a single codebase.

· Knowledge of cross platform Mobile application development – IBM MEA / Kony etc.

·Expertisein modern user interface frameworks.

·Expertiseon various operating systems like AIX, LINUX, Windows

· Ability to train teams and prepare presentations. Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and services on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

· Deep understanding ofon-premiseprivate cloud deployment model

· Knowledge of designing relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) andoptimizingqueries for performance.

· Data Caching: Understanding how to use caching strategies (e.g.,Redis,Memcached) to improve performance by reducing database load.

· Application Performance Optimization:Proficiencyinidentifyingperformance bottlenecks in applications, including database queries, network requests, and code level optimizations.

· Monitoring & Logging: Knowledge of implementing application monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to track application health and user activity (e.g.,Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).

Preferred skill sets:

Minimum 12yearsexperienceinITout of which minimum 5 years should be in Application Architect role. Minimum 5 years in Banking / Financial Sector

Education qualification:

BE/ BTech in (Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering/ Electronics & Communications Engineering or equivalent degree in relevant discipline) or MCA or MTech/ MSc in (Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics & Communications Engineering) from recognized University/ Institute.
