Reports to:  Sr. Sewing Supervisor
Supervises:  N/A

Summary Statement:   Under the general supervision of the Sr. Sewing Supervisor, the employee in this position ensures finished goods meet contract specifications and quality standards using standard inspection techniques following all established work and safety procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Inspect and verify the accuracy of all incoming raw materials.
- Verify order progress sheets as requested.
- Evaluate and verify in-process and finished products, documenting findings.
- Respond to operator inquiries regarding product quality.
- Notify appropriate personnel of any process/product nonconformance.
- Accurately complete and submit daily inspection reports.
Marginal Job Functions
- Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
- Participate in training and meetings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsWorking Conditions
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop over a 10-hour period.
- Must be able to work planned and unplanned overtime.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Must be able to perform visual product inspections.
- Must have strong math skills, including working with measurement tools, decimals and fractions.
- Must be able to read, write and interpret instructions.
- Must be able to professionally encourage and facilitate cooperation and teamwork in order to reach a common goal.
- Must have the skill to act in a tactful, sensitive manner.
- Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.
- Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.
Education and Work Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 – 3 years previous inspection experience preferred.
