About the Role

We are seeking an experienced In-House Mason with multifamily property experience to join our CapEx team. This position will perform masonry, concrete, brick, tuckpointing, and related repairs across our apartment communities.

The Mason will work directly with the CapEx Manager to complete projects efficiently, maintain quality standards, and reduce reliance on outside contractors.

Responsibilities

• Complete brick, block, concrete, mortar, and tuckpointing repairs
• Repair sidewalks, steps, walls, foundations, and other masonry surfaces
• Perform masonry work associated with apartment turns and CapEx projects
• Identify masonry issues and determine the appropriate repair
• Complete assigned projects on schedule and according to scope
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle
• Document completed work and materials used
• Travel between multifamily properties throughout the Chicago area
• Communicate project status and material needs to the CapEx Manager

Requirements

• Must have multifamily maintenance experience
• Must pass the Certified Maintenance Technician exam
• Must possess an “A” or “B” card
• 3+ years of masonry experience preferred
• Strong experience with brick, block, concrete, mortar, and tuckpointing
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel between properties
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors
• Having your own basic tools and equipment is a plus

A skilled multifamily maintenance professional who can independently diagnose and complete masonry repairs while maintaining a high standard of quality, safety, and productivity.

SALARY RANGE: $45,000- $50,000
