Job Description


RH is seeking an In-Home Furniture Repair Technician to support the quality and care of our product through expert repair, refinishing and touch-up work across furniture and accessories. This role is responsible for assessing and repairing product prior to delivery, within RH Galleries, at Home Delivery Centers and in customers’ homes throughout an assigned territory.


As a client-facing representative of the RH brand, you will bring technical skill and first-class service to every interaction. You will help ensure our product meets RH quality standards while communicating with care, professionalism and attention to detail.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair, refinish and restore RH product to our quality standards in customer homes, RH Galleries and Home Delivery Centers
  • Assess product condition, identify repair needs and determine the appropriate technique, materials and tools needed to complete the work
  • Perform touch-up repairs on wood, leather, fabric, and other surfaces, including metal, stone, marble and concrete
  • Prepare and maintain work areas to ensure a clean, safe and professional repair environment
  • Promote safe work practices, including proper handling, use and storage of tools, chemicals, coatings, finishes and personal protective equipment
  • Communicate repair status, product concerns, service needs and quality insights with customers, leadership, delivery teams and cross-functional partners to support product care, service recovery and operational excellence
  • Support education and training for Team Members, including product care, handling standards, delivery awareness and repair-related best practices
  • Adapt to changing business needs, schedules, service priorities and repair requirements within the assigned territory
  • Support Home Delivery Center and warehouse-related tasks as needed to meet the needs of the business

OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience repairing, refinishing or restoring furniture, cabinetry, millwork, upholstery or related products
  • Knowledge of touch-up repairs on wood, leather and fabric, including coatings and finishes on surfaces such as metal, stone, marble and concrete
  • Knowledge of framing, furniture construction methods, materials, finishes and repair techniques
  • Sense of collaboration, ownership, urgency and attention to detail in your work
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a commitment to providing first-class customer service
  • Experience working directly with customers in a service-driven environment preferred
  • Comfort working independently in customer homes, RH Galleries, Home Delivery Centers and field-based environments
  • Required to travel within an assigned geographic territory to support customer home visits, Gallery visits, Home Delivery Centers and service needs; valid driver’s license required
  • Experience using tools, repair materials, technology and systems used to document service activity and complete repair work
  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the country in which they are applying at the time of application
  • Proficiency in English and French is required due to the international nature of our business and the need to communicate with global teams

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequently moving and lifting items up to 25 kg (55 lbs) unassisted
  • Frequently standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing
  • Work standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Periodically work in outdoor settings and environments with elevated noise levels
  • Occasional travel within home delivery network
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle as needed to support business needs
