Job Description

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–3:00 (can be split between two people as well)
Pay: Starting at $20/hr - determined by experience
Type: Independent Contractor

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver to support a wonderful woman experiencing cognitive decline. She can still be independent in many day‑to‑day tasks but benefits from reminders, structure, and companionship.

What You’ll Do

• Provide companionship and gentle cognitive engagement
• Support her with preparing breakfast and lunch (and light dinner prep)
• Offer hydration reminders and encourage snacks/meals
• Prompt medication at scheduled times
• Keep her gently active with walks and activities
• Drive her to appointments
• Assist with groceries and small errands
• Light housekeeping (tidying, dishes, laundry, changing bedding, kitchen clean‑up)
  
  

Who You Are

• Experienced with seniors, dementia, or Alzheimer’s care
• Experienced with diabetic care
• PSW is an asset
• Comfortable supporting someone who is forgetful and needs reassurance
• Valid driver’s license + clean abstract; access to vehicle
• Criminal background and vulnerable sector check

We want someone who treats our mom with dignity, keeps her engaged in her day, and helps her feel safe, supported, and purposeful. Family members will be in and out of the home. The home has no smokers and no pets. If you are patient, warm, and experienced with dementia care — and you enjoy helping someone maintain dignity and routine — we would love to meet you.
