Job Description

As the In-Force Management Lead, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that maximize portfolio value through effective management of policy persistency, premium conservation, claims monitoring, and customer value enhancement initiatives. This role will serve as a key business partner across Actuarial, Distribution, Product, Risk, Claims, and Finance functions to monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and drive initiatives that support sustainable business growth and profitability.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of in-force management strategies to maximize portfolio value and profitability.
  • Monitor portfolio performance across key indicators including persistency, premium collection, reinstatement, claims experience, claim trends, and customer lifetime value.
  • Support risk management initiatives through continuous monitoring of lapse/persistency (including partial withdrawals) and claims (mortality & morbidity) experience indicators.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the in-force portfolio and provide actionable recommendations to improve claims performance and persistency level, while maintaining customer-centric outcomes.
  • Partner with Product/Pricing and Actuarial teams to assess in-force product performance and profitability and collaborate closely with Distribution Line 1B and Risk teams on in-force portfolio monitoring, persistency management, claims experience oversight, and the identification and mitigation of emerging portfolio risks to ensure sustainable business growth and profitability.
  • Support long-term strategic planning for in-force business growth and profitability.
  • Represent the in-force management function in strategic business discussions and management forums.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Life Insurance, with exposure to one or more of the following areas: In-Force Management, Product Pricing, Actuarial Valuation, Business Strategy, Portfolio Management, Bancassurance or Distribution Management.
  • Strong understanding of Life Insurance business fundamentals, products, policyholder lifecycle and portfolio profitability.
  • Knowledge of persistency management, retention strategies, premium conservation, and customer value management.
  • Understanding of claims experience analysis, portfolio risk monitoring, and insurance profitability drivers.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects involving Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Claims, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams.
