Work Shift Schedule: 8AM - 4:30PM
Reporting to the Program Manager, the In-Custody Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Counselor is responsible for individual service coordination for patients enrolled in Phoenix House Adult/Adolescent Residential/Outpatient Services, including supporting a successful transition back into the community. In collaboration with the Program Director, the In-Custody AOD Counselor carries a patient caseload and supports the successful integration of medical care, substance abuse treatment, and other services within individual treatment plans.

Phoenix Houses of California is comprised of four locations. Lake View Terrace houses our senior leadership team, an adolescent residential substance abuse program, outpatient services for youth and adults, a Wraparound team, and prevention services.
Venice Beach is an adult male-only residential substance abuse treatment program.
Orange County offers residential substance abuse treatment for women and men- housed in separate areas. Additionally, we offer adult outpatient therapy, Recovery Support Services (RSS), Family Wraparound, and Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) and mental health services in the local schools.
We also have numerous locations spread throughout California that encompasses our Corrections and Rehabilitation Division. The various sites offer mental health services to individuals in prisons, jails, or correctional settings in order to prepare them for re-entry. Locations include: Blythe, Soledad, Susanville, Calipatria, and Bakersfield.
