What's the role?

In-Charge Audit professionals are responsible for performing and leading audit engagements while supporting client relationships and helping guide junior team members through the audit process. This includes:

• Analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting issues and performing research to present proposed solutions.
• Planning and performing audit procedures in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
• Taking ownership of assigned audit engagements, including coordinating workflow and helping ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring staff accountants and audit associates throughout audit engagements.
• Reviewing work prepared by staff and providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Building new and strengthening existing client relationships while developing a strong understanding of clients' businesses.
• Communicating with clients throughout engagements to request information, discuss findings, and help address accounting or financial reporting questions.
• Collaborating with Audit Managers and Partners to successfully complete client engagements.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

• 3+ years of audit experience at a public accounting firm.
• Previous experience supervising, reviewing, or providing guidance to staff during audit engangements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain.
• Candidates that are willing to work onsite preferred, but wiling to consider hybrid/remote work for experienced talent.
