As a Logistics Specialist II, you'll help ensure seamless coordination of supply chain operations while delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers. Working with cross-functional teams, you'll manage critical logistics processes including shipment coordination, customs compliance and vendor relationships. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in optimizing logistics efficiency while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of customs experience & international logistics.• Preferred Fields of Study: Foreign trade, International Trade, International Logistics, International Relations Affairs, or related field.
-Management of customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers & legal consultant firms.
-Order to pay management (review of customs expense reports - register of different logistics service providers expenses) & landed cost integration experience.
-Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, customs systems/platforms) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel
-Strong knowledge of international trade compliance, up to date in terms of customs regulations (MVE – submission of “ Electronic Value Manifest”), shipping documentation, Mexican Official Standards (security - commercial information), special import permits (SENER), tariff classification & special operations under different customs regimes.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation -Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a dynamic environment
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Goal oriented.
-Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English
-Experience with (DGR) “Dangerous Goods” & “Oversized” shipments preferred
-Follow-up of multiple import PO´s for a wide range of plants and shipping points
-Demonstrated experience in process improvement and cost optimization
-Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
-Experience with logistics/foreign trade KPIs and metrics tracking
