DePuy Synthes is recruiting foran Import/Export Ops Specialist,locatedin Central Singapore.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business toestablisha standalone orthopedics company,operatingas DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation isanticipatedto be completed within 18 to24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may berequired, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it isanticipatedthat, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuySynthesand your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes atan appropriate timeand subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The Import/Export Ops Specialist supports day‑to‑day import and export operations to ensure compliant,accurate, andtimelycross‑border movement of products. This role plays an important part inmaintainingtrade compliance, supporting supply chain continuity, and enabling efficient operations across regional and global markets. The position offers hands‑on exposure to trade processes in a highly regulated environment and contributes directly to operational reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute import and export transactionsin accordance withapplicable customs, trade, and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare, review, andmaintainaccuratetrade documentation, including customs declarations, invoices, and shipping records.

  • Coordinate withlogisticsproviders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensuretimelyclearance and delivery of goods.

  • Monitor shipment status and resolve issues related to delays, documentation discrepancies, or customs holds.

  • Support compliance with trade regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements.

  • Maintainaccuraterecords and data within trade,logistics, and ERP systems.

  • Assistwith reporting,metricstracking, and data analysis related to import/export activities.

  • Identifyopportunities to improve process efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business, ora relatedfield (required).

  • Professional coursework or certification in trade, customs, orlogistics(preferred).

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Typically3–5 years of experience in import/export operations, trade compliance,logistics, or a related role.

  • Working knowledge of customs procedures, import/export regulations, and trade documentation.

  • Experience coordinating shipments with freight forwarders and customs brokers.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage transactional accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment.

  • Proficiencywith ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience inthe medical device,pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with Singapore and regional Asia‑Pacific trade regulations.

  • Experience supporting audits or compliance reviews.

  • Exposure to global trade management systems orcustomssoftware.

  • Continuous improvement or process optimization experience.

Other:

  • Language: Englishproficiencyrequired;additionallanguages preferred.

  • Travel: Minimal; occasional local or regional travel may berequired

  • Certifications: Trade compliance, customs, orlogisticscertificationspreferred.
