Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work on system routines, TMF, C2C, Follow-net, any other system applied to attend customer needs;
  • Receive proposal accept from Pricing/Sales dept, analyze information and document;
  • Prepare detailed shipping instructions to origin, informing service level and lead-time;
  • Issue documents according to instructions received from shipper for export shpts;
  • Follow up with all parties involved to comply with agreed lead-time;
  • Make sure documents are issued in accordance with instructions and Brazilian legislation;
  • Keep customer daily informed on shipment status, being proactive on possible deviation;
  • Analyze monthly shipment performance reports to contribute to improvement in the process to customers;
  • Confirm cargo arrival and available for customs clearance, on Imports;
  • Confirm cargo departure and arrival at destination, on Exports;
  • Provide instructions for local charges payment and invoices to customers;
  • Check file finance result, acting whenever result is not what is expected;
  • Demurrage follow-up;
  • Make sure all steps on the shipment are taken before finalizing the process;

Other Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and write in English. Other languages desired;
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Knowledgeable on import routine to Brazil;
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making and organization skills;
  • Ability to develop and document processes and procedures;
  • Proficient in the use of analytical techniques such as statistical probability distribution, correlation, data sampling and relating sets of numbers;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, respond to questions from senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and professionalism;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially outlook.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
