About the Opportunity

As an Implementation Manager for Japan, you'll be responsible for leading critical client implementation projects on a national, regional and global level, owning end-to-end delivery from solution design through to operational use. You'll combine project leadership with hands-on technical delivery, managing coordination between clients and internal FCM stakeholders while configuring FCM technology solutions to ensure a smooth transition to business as usual.

We are looking for a customer-centric project leader with strong technical expertise who is ready to make a real impact in a highly visible role. Acting as the bridge between Sales, Solution Consulting, Support, Product and Operations, you'll work directly with clients to gather requirements, configure platforms, manage onboarding and change initiatives, and ensure solution integrity, client readiness and successful adoption throughout the implementation lifecycle.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end client implementation projects from kick-off through go-live and post-implementation for national, regional and global clients
  • Create and maintain implementation project plans and blueprint documents in Wrike, tracking deliverables, milestones, risks and timelines
  • Configure and test online booking tools (Concur, Cytric) and FCM proprietary systems (FCM Platform, FCM Booking Japan, TINA, Profile Management)
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage data mapping, profile integrations, and content alignment (GDS, NDC, corporate rates)
  • Manage change control and escalation processes to protect scope, quality and budget
  • Coordinate training, deployment, and handover to Account Management, Operations and Support teams
  • Support automation and API-enabled integrations between FCM tools and client systems
  • Maintain accurate project records, KPI tracking, and ensure compliance with global processes
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Who We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years' experience in corporate travel or technology implementation, ideally within a TMC
  • Hands-on experience implementing Concur, Cytric, or other OBTs with system configuration and client-facing deployment
  • Strong project management background (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification preferred)
  • Technical aptitude with familiarity in GDS, web services, XML, data integration, and SSO environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects across markets with analytical and solution-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PM tools (Wrike, Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Fluent in business English
  • Professional proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or BJT J1+ level required for this role)
  • Customer-centric with collaborative approach and continuous improvement mindset
