Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Able to operate machinery required to refurbish ion implanter modules.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot issues with vacuum systems, power supplies, and source related issues.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance techs on tool related issues.
  • Follow safety protocols and cleanroom procedures, including proper handling of hazardous gasses, chemicals, and materials.Able to operate machinery required to refurbish ion implanter modules.

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related technical field or equivalent military/industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining semiconductor equipment, ideally ion implantation tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and vacuum systems.
  • Familiarity with implant systems such as Axcelis, Varian, or Applied Materials.
  • Comfortable working with high-voltage, vacuum, RF, and gas delivery systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment wearing full PPE.

Skills & Other Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills

Working Conditions

  • 8-hour shift: 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday
  • Comfortable in a clean room attire (bunny suit)

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand for the duration of the shift when needed
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

ITAR/EAR and Other Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual).
  • Compliance with all applicable export control regulations.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
