About The Role

The Immigration Lawyer is integral to securing positive outcomes for our clients. At Absolute Immigration Legal, no two days are the same. This is your opportunity to work in one of the most complex areas of law whilst changing lives every day. We aren't your typical law firm. We don't ask our Lawyers to bill in 6 minute increments or keep timesheets (what a time consuming task!). Each case the client is charged a fixed fee, freeing up our Lawyers to focus on providing our clients exceptional client service.

• Provide accurate, relevant advice and assistance to clients with respect to visa options and eligibility.
• Preparing and lodging various type of visa applications, including family visas, working visas, Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Court appeals.
• Representing clients in visa-related interviews and appeals.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Be responsible for managing your own caseload with the support of a Paralegal.
• Staying up-to-date with changes in immigration legislation and regulations.
• Providing guidance on the complex and ever-evolving immigration landscape.
• Continuing to learn, grow, and develop your expertise within a collaborative team

About You

You’re an experienced, client-focused Immigration Lawyer who genuinely cares about outcomes and people. You’ll bring:

• A law degree and admittance to practice within Victoria with a minimum of 3 years PQE.
• Prior experience (at least 3 years) as an Immigration Lawyer with experience working with Employer Sponsored Visas and ART matters. Federal Court and Labour Agreement experience will be highly regarded.
• A passion for helping people and changing lives.

• Technical knowledge with respect to current Australian immigration law and policy.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and KPIs.
• A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
