This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with our Autonomous Vehicle Partner in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. The internship will run from now through November 2026, (with possible extension) providing valuable experience alongside industry professionals in an innovative and fast-paced setting.
The Automotive Technician Specialist will be dedicated to a specialized project involving autonomous vehicles, fostering customer loyalty by building trust and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a trusted provider of vehicle safety and reliability.
What are the requirements for this job?
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior experience as an express/quick lube technician preferred.
Skills: Proficiency with hand tools and strong attention to detail.
Process Adherence: Ability to follow established procedures to ensure quality and safety.
Licensing: Must have a valid in-state driver’s license with a clean and safe driving record.
Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule: Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
On-the-job training will be provided in the first week of employment. Training is required / cannot be missed.
Performing vehicle work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with customer standards.
Communicating with Service Manager and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 - $25.00, based on experience
