*This is an open-pooled position. Applicants' education/experience will be considered and the position may be filled at a lower or higher level, as appropriate.* WORK SCHEDULE:Up to 19.99 hours per week, with no benefits. Shifts will be primarily nights, 7pm to 7am.IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST IMinimum Qualifications:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Associates of Applied Science OR Graduate of an accredited Radiology programEnrolled in or have completed second Imaging Modality program LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONSRequired:Certification from one of the following credentialing organizations:American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), -American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (ARDMS), -American Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT-VT), -Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), or -American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) through the Texas Medical Board, if applicable. Registry in a second modality must be completed within 6 months of hire or transfer date.American Heart Association BLS.Preferred Qualifications:Associate's Degree - Strongly Preferred Three - six months experience in the Secondary Imaging ModalityExperience and/or Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) JOB DESCRIPTION:The Multi-modality Technologist I provides quality imaging and patient care within two (2) medical imaging modalities in any combination of which MRI, CT, Mammography, or X-ray are the primary modality. Performs imaging procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients in a clinic or hospital setting as requested by the ordering physician or other licensed provider. The procedures are performed under general supervision of a Radiologist for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The Multi-modality Technologist I must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. In addition, the Multi-modality Technologist I will be able to provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. The Multi-modality Technologist I will meet all of the qualifications and requirements for the modalities in which they are certified and will work a minimum of 40% of the time in the second modality.
