
40Position is responsible for assisting with professional aspects of the MRI or Computed Tomography services including protocol patients, scheduling special studies, providing assistance for certain MRI or CT procedures, quality assurance and monitoring. Position also assists with and facilitates communications among radiology attendings, fellows and resident physicians, MRI or CT technologists, referring physicians and their offices, physician extenders and patients.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists with protocoling patients for MRI or CT procedures, obtaining information as necessary to facilitate completion of study in accordance with established guidelines.
Coordinates the scheduling of MRI or CT guided biopsies, special procedures to ensure appropriate information and staff are available at time of procedure.
Assists with activities that are the Radiologist’s responsibilities in the performance of MRI or CT scanning.
Assists staff physicians with scheduling and communication issues related to MRI or CT procedures and assists with quality assurance and protocol optimization.
