Ardent is seeking an Imagery Analyst to support geospatial imagery analysis and exploitation activities in support of DHS Geospatial Management Office (GMO) programs. This role is responsible for analyzing imagery data from multiple sensing technologies to support a variety of homeland security missions, including disaster response, infrastructure protection, and law enforcement operations.

The Imagery Analyst will work across geospatial and analytical teams to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable imagery-derived insights. This position contributes to mission-critical decision-making by producing structured analytical outputs and supporting data validation and quality efforts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyze and exploit imagery data using multiple sensing technologies to support DHS mission requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate imagery collection activities to align with operational and mission needs.
  • Interpret imagery data to identify patterns, anomalies, and actionable intelligence.
  • Support geospatial data validation and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes.
  • Compile imagery analysis results into reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Prepare visual products and decision-support artifacts for stakeholders and mission partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support geospatial and imagery requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate, complete, and structured imagery analysis outputs.
  • Maintain documentation of analytical processes, methodologies, and findings.
  • Support continuous improvement of imagery analysis workflows and data quality practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Earth Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in imagery analysis or remote sensing.
  • Experience analyzing imagery data from multiple sensing technologies.
  • Experience supporting mission-driven analysis such as disaster response, infrastructure analysis, or law enforcement operations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex imagery datasets.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DHS or other federal government geospatial or imagery programs.
  • Familiarity with remote sensing tools and geospatial platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, ENVI).
  • Experience working with large-scale or time-sensitive imagery datasets.
  • Experience supporting operational or real-time mission environments.
  • Familiarity with imagery collection planning and coordination processes.

Due to the nature of the work we support, all candidates in consideration for this role must be willing to undergo the government issued background investigation process.
