Image Processing Engineer

Applies intermediate or Specialist level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common engineering issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and improve the flexibility and maintainability of the imaging asset code base.
• Determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture and design of solution.
• Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies, debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture.
• Analyze and optimize image processing algorithm for improving image quality
• Collaborate and communicate with Product development teams, F/W or ASIC teams regarding image processing algorithm.
Education and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
• Typically 3-7 years experience, but no prior experience required
Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of basic engineering techniques
• Working knowledge of signal processing/image processing.
• Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English and local language
• Expertise in program languages. 2+ years of C/C++ experience is a minimum.
