The Role
The Image Coordinator role will play a vital role in supporting the cross-functional Americas marketing department at Christie’s. The role is responsible for working with the editorial, video, design, and marketing strategy teams to maintain image approval and organization for marketing assets. This highly collaborative role will work with the Specialist departments to carefully curate the images used across creative marketing. The Image Coordinator will also work closely with photography teams, legal, and global counterparts to maintain efficiency.
Why This Role Matters
Assist the Americas marketing department in obtaining approval (specialist department, legal, and copyright) for images to be used across marketing assets including editorial stories, videos, advertisements, exhibitions, social media, and emails.
Demonstrate an ability to build an understanding of image usage rules to contribute on best practice recommendations when building and publishing content.
Maintain clear organization of Americas image folders so teams can quickly identify available images and status of approval for use. Handle archiving of folders for past sales and creation of new folders for upcoming sales.
Coordinate with Specialist departments (coordinators and cataloguers) to proactively pull images into a database for the marketing team’s use.
Collaborate with the Americas editorial, video, and design leads to research images for use. Support Global team in image research and approval.
Responsible for budget management, ensuring all purchase orders are opened and effectively tracked.
How You Will Make An Impact
2-3 years of experience in an editorial or marketing or related role, preferably with a focus on images or design.
Strong organizational skills and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously while quickly raising concerns or changed priorities.
A natural collaborator able to partner effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication and strong attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of art and artists with an ability to understand and showcase knowledge of various movements, time periods, and cultures.
Creativity and innovation – an entrepreneurial approach combined with energy and enthusiasm to create innovative image collections that help drive the stories.
Experience with project management tools and systems including Monday.com and Canvas.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
