The Role

An opportunity exists for an NV1 cleared Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer to support Defence acquisition and sustainment activities within a complex ICT project environment in Canberra.

The role will be responsible for developing materiel logistics strategies, concepts, analyses, and plans to support Defence capability outcomes. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of logistics policies, processes, and procedures, while reviewing and reporting on materiel logistics performance across acquisition activities.

The position requires the ability to operate within established Defence frameworks, support Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities, and ensure alignment between logistics outcomes and broader project objectives. The role will also engage with key stakeholders across strategic and operational levels and provide high-quality written documentation and presentations for senior delegate consideration.

An ICT background is preferred, along with a current NV1 security clearance.

About You

You are an experienced ILS or materiel logistics professional with strong knowledge of Defence acquisition and sustainment environments, ideally within ICT capability programs.

You have demonstrated experience in:

  • Developing Integrated Logistics Support Concepts, Analyses, and Plans
  • Supporting materiel logistics and sustainment activities within Defence projects
  • Reviewing, analysing, and reporting on logistics performance
  • Developing and maintaining logistics policies, processes, and procedures
  • Working within legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships across Defence and industry
  • Preparing high-level written documentation and presentations

Highly desirable:

  • ICT project or ICT sustainment experience
  • Experience within Defence acquisition environments
  • Current NV1 security clearance

You are organised, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting complex Defence capability outcomes within a structured governance environment.
