Job Description


The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring effective patient care and efficient workflow. This role requires leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to liaise with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff. Key duties include managing staff, overseeing schedules, preparing for surveys, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clinical competencies as a registered nurse.
  • Conduct daily leadership rounding with staff and patients.
  • Provide input on new equipment purchases and participate in the development of a capital equipment plan.
  • Assist in developing and communicating nursing and department-specific policies and procedures.
  • Maintain HFAP and regulatory documents in the department.
  • Participate in performance improvement and clinical quality initiatives.
  • Supervise healthcare staff and students as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, and administrative teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Required)

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare or medically-related setting (Required)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for professional communication with patients, families, visitors, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
  • Ability to articulate, read, and write diagnoses and symptoms accurately.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Ability to communicate clearly using hospital protocols (e.g., read-back and verify, SBARQ, language hotline).
  • Experience preparing written reports and documentation for quality assessment and control.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to evaluate, understand, and verify quality assessment and control data.
  • Demonstrated initiative and judgment in managing patient care departments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to assess issues, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Familiarity with computers and Windows-based programs; proficiency with advanced software applications in the healthcare field.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Current State of Illinois licensure as a Registered Nurse (Required) or
  • Current State of Illinois licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 6 months of hire (Required)

Compensation:

  • Hourly Range: $28.04 - $39.06

Bonus:

  • Potential for a performance-based bonus, subject to eligibility and achievement of defined metrics. Bonus details will be shared during the interview process or upon hire.

Incentives:

  • Eligible for evening/night, weekend shift incentives based on company policies and applicable job codes. Specific details will be provided during the interview process.
