Encouraging IKEA store visitors to stay longer and enjoy more, making it fun for everyone, offering great food at low prices, giving visitors a tasty reason to return again and again, and providing co-workers with a chance to rest and re-charge.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT

  • Be the ambassador for the highest possible quality perception for visitors, customers by correct execution of the goods flow processes, keeping customer-perceived availability in focus.
  • Secure implementation of the Supply Quality “Detect-Correct-Report” way of working in all parts of logistics operation with a zero tolerance approach towards non-compliant goods meeting the customer.
  • Work together with business (e.g. Safety & Security, Recovery, Customer Relations), supply chain partners (e.g. Quality Support Centre, DS, Transport) and external service providers (e.g. Racking-, Equipment service providers), with regards to quality, safety and health related topics.
  • Contribute to positioning the IKEA store and the IKEA Brand as responsible partners in lowering environmental impact by taking relevant actions that contribute to achieving long-term profitability in a sustainable and environmental way.
  • Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
  • Lead and influence all goods flow co-workers to secure that the department works in compliance with Global Risk Manual/Safety & security Manual, IKEA internal regulations and local legislation relating to quality, health, safety and environment in relation to the goods flow processes.
  • Contribute with relevant quality, health and safety input and feedback to the logistics action plan and ensure that these are implemented in the goods flow processes.
  • Ensure warehouse racking, handling equipment and unit load inspections are conducted according to local legislations and IKEA requirements. Assess the goods flow processes in the area of health, safety and quality and share findings with the Logistics Manager.
  • Secure a competent goods flow team that can execute its assigned responsibilities related to health, safety and quality with confidence, through mandatory trainings and on boarding for new co-workers.
  • Identify, and develop the many talents and successors for the QSC role in the goods flow team in the area of quality, safety and compliance

YOUR PROFILE

  • Understand the IKEA organisational structure and how Logistics works in IKEA retailing.
  • Knowledge about the IKEA Concept description including the IKEA vision and business idea, and IKEA culture and values.
  • Experience in implementing action plans, providing clear direction and following up goals.
  • Show potential to apply operational thinking to the total customer experience.
