Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract an IFRS & Consolidation Senior Analyst to join our Finance team at Sunlight’s Athens premises. As an IFRS & Consolidation Senior Analyst you will participate in the preparation of the Financial Reporting Packages and support in the process of consolidating the financial statements of the Group.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process by collecting and reviewing financial data from business units and subsidiaries, supporting the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP and IFRS
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audit procedures by providing the required documentation and addressing audit-related queries
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform reconciliations and eliminations of intercompany transactions across the Group
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other key financial metrics for senior management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting policies
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of effective Group accounting policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting processes
  • Support the continuous optimization of Reporting & Consolidation systems and contribute to the improvement of related processes
  • Provide guidance and support to subsidiary controllers regarding the use of consolidation tools, IFRS requirements, and Group Accounting Policies to ensure alignment and compliance across the organization
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting to support senior management decision-making
  • Participate in financial analysis activities, including trend analysis, variance analysis, financial performance evaluation, KPI monitoring, and other reporting metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Group Accounting and Consolidation within a multinational environment or audit firm
  • Strong knowledge of Greek GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a good understanding of reporting structures and financial systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall computer literacy
  • Experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools, preferably SAP S/4HANA, will be considered an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and high level of accuracy
  • ACCA qualification or ongoing certification will be considered a plus
