Job Description

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health & biosciences. We deliver sustainable innovations that elevate everyday products.

Harnessing the full supporting power of scent, driven by pioneering creativity, science, consumer expertise and a mindful approach to fragrance design.

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) to play a key role in the retirement of the IFFMAN platform and the successful transition of critical business capabilities into the next-generation solutions, Innocore and Phoenix 3.

Acting as the bridge between end users, Functional Application Development (FAD), and IT project teams, this role will ensure that operational requirements, business rules, user expectations, and day-to-day execution needs are accurately understood, documented, validated, and incorporated into the future-state solution.

This is a fixed term contract (12 months), based out of Hilversum, Netherlands.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

  • Act as the primary business SME and end-user representative for the IFFMAN retirement and migration to Innocore/Phoenix 3.

  • Provide expertise on IFFMAN processes, FAD workflows, business rules, operational constraints, and exception handling.

  • Gather, validate, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Partner with FAD, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure the future solution meets operational and usability needs.

  • Identify process gaps, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement, automation, and productivity gains.

  • Develop, execute, and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios, test cases, and validation evidence.

  • Support defect triage, re-testing activities, and validation of data integrity and business rule compliance.

  • Evaluate the business impact of system and process changes and provide recommendations to support solution enhancements.

  • Contribute to change management, training materials, user guidance, adoption feedback, and go-live readiness assessments.

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Strong hands-on experience with IFFMAN and a deep understanding of FAD processes, workflows, business rules, and operational requirements.

  • Proven ability to document business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and user stories in a structured manner.

  • Experience contributing to system migrations, digital transformation initiatives, process improvements, or business change projects.

  • Familiarity with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario creation, execution, defect management, and business validation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.

  • Knowledge of business data validation, process controls, and operational governance requirements.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams involving business users, IT teams, and project stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build alignment across functions.

  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to manage priorities in a structured project delivery environment.

Why Choose Us?

  • 8% holiday allowance and a competitive annual bonus scheme (AIP)

  • Individual Choice Budget (IKB), which can be used flexibly (e.g., additional vacation days or monthly payout)

  • 25 vacation days plus additional ADV days

  • Commuting allowance (€0.23/km, up to 72 km one way) or full reimbursement of public transport (2nd class)

  • Competitive pension scheme, company-paid disability insurance and enhanced parental leave

  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providing confidential wellbeing, financial, and personal support, along with employee resource groups and year-round activities such as workshops, sports events, volunteering, and social gatherings.
