Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is currently looking for a Systems Engineer I to join the Multi-Domain Solutions Systems and Software Department for Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) productions for air defense, air control, and self-protection missions in airborne and ground applications. The System Engineering Test team is involved in all aspects of Systems Design and Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V). This team, based at Aberdeen Proving Ground, is responsible for supporting backend system engineering on multiple IFF product lines.
The ideal candidate for this position should be familiar with system engineering lifecycle. The applicant should feel comfortable performing systems integration, gaining hands-on experience in the lab, and creating documentation.
What Will You Do
· Integrate Systems: Integrate hardware and software into IFF systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
· Support Testing Efforts: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation and perform/execute the testing.
· Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
· Document and Communicate: Develop test documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
· Collaborate: Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
· Occasional Travel to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
Qualifications You Must Have
· Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations or an Advanced Degree in a related field
· Experience generating and delivering technical documentation to stakeholders, including creating, reviewing, and updating test artifacts
· Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation} and be able to effectively communicate with IPT leaders, hardware and software development engineers, specialty engineers, program managers, and customer representatives
Qualifications We Prefer
· Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance
· Experience supporting a Department of Defense (DoD) government contract
· Experience working in small teams to achieve program cost and schedule objectives
· Familiarity with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
