The Astor Learning Center (ALC) is hiring a IEP Service Coordinator to join our supportive and collaborative team. We're searching for passionate, energetic individuals to join our team. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management verifying the implementation of all goals and related services are being met on student individualized education plans in conjunction with the principal. This position is a non-union, leadership position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the school liaison between the ALC and collaborating school districts and outside case management and other service providers.
  • Assists in scheduling CSE meetings and notifying all student team members appropriately.
  • Periodically reviews that all data are inputted according to NYSED IEP standards by classroom teachers and related service providers.
  • Managers scripts for all related service providers.
  • Coordinates completion of all report cards and progress monitoring in Carelogic and Frontline Education.
  • Assists in interviewing and hiring of Teachers., Teacher Assistants and Related Service providers.
  • Assists in creating class lists and schedule of related services.
  • Assists in the acceptance and placement of all students.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and parents to determine the most suitable and least restrictive environment for children based on their individual needs.
  • Attends Committee on Special Education meetings to advocate for most appropriate program and services for students.
  • Trains Teachers and Related Service Providers on the Frontline IEP management system.
  • Assists and helps to support NYS Testing.
  • Supervises teachers as directed by the principal, including onboarding and coaching.
  • Coverage issues as required to ensure proper ratios in classrooms and daily staffing patterns.
  • ST AC & RS 2 Management/Reporting.
