Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of IED for Continental Europe

  • Drive the preparation of Board and Firm Management reviews

  • Support MSESE Strategy & Business Planning

  • Drive local resource planning

  • Support the interaction with local regulators

  • Support MSESE Resource Management and Expense Monitoring

  • Support MSESE People Strategy and Talent Development Initiatives

  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives across MSESE

Skills required:

  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, and presentations

  • Strong Project orientation, including experience in project management

  • Understanding of front to back processes and control environment beneficial

  • Excellent knowledge of excel and PowerPoint required

  • Good organisation skills

  • Confident, self-starter, assertive and energetic

  • Strong interest in capital markets, business strategy and business management

Detailed Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Planning

  • Support MSESE Strategy & Business Planning integrated into the broader EMEA and global strategy

  • Facilitate the annual business planning & budgeting process for MSESE

  • Support the bi-annual country plans & reviews

  • Develop the annual capital planning process (ICAAP) for MSESE, including the assessment of stress scenarios, development of supporting documentation and management presentation materials

  • Support strategic deep-dives, financial reviews, scenario analysis and competitor analysis across the businesses, as required, in coordination with the COO team

  • Support intra-division and cross-divisional collaboration

  • Assist with the design and preparation of management offsites

People

  • Support headcount planning process, including new requests, progression of new hires and coordination with central COO team

  • Assist with talent onboarding, including supporting new hires and their integration into IED, with close coordination with Human Resources

  • Support talent development initiatives, including planning, development, and participation in IED-wide activities

  • Assist in the management of local temps and consultants, from planning to onboarding and approvals as needed

  • Promote a culture and standards in accordance with MS Group core values, amongst MSESE ISG staff

Resources

  • Support the IED MSESE expense programme through monitoring of the expenses, analysis of large expense items and participation in multiple firm-wide initiatives for expense efficiency, including monitoring market data usage and subscriptions

  • Support the IED MSESE business through the monitoring and review of variable expense items

  • Support the understanding of the MSESE required resources, including Capital, Balance Sheet and RWAs

Ad hoc Projects & Initiatives

  • Work closely with management in the analysis and development of new initiatives across the region

  • Point of contact for specific products, client verticals and countries, working closely with the teams on various projects and initiatives

  • Project manage key initiatives for MSESE IED, as required
