Directly supervise and provide technical direction to assigned personnel in the planning, scheduling and execution of all routine maintenance and corrective repairs, special maintenance, plant projects, and capital projects within assigned area. Ensure effective and cost effective work execution through proper scope development and advance identification of required manpower, labor hours, tools, equipment, and materials.
Preferred training and experience for the incumbent includes 2 years formal training in a technical skill (instrumentation, electrical or mechanical).
5 - 7 years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of related industrial equipment.
2 years of direct supervisory experience and demonstrated proficiency in industry-wide and plant-specific safety, equipment repair, work process planning, piping and instrumentation layout, and personnel management techniques and procedures.
The use of the following office equipment will be required: Personal computer, calculator, multi-line telephone, copier, printer, scanner, fax
The use of the following software could be required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook), Skype, Visio, Adobe (PDF), Share Point, SAP, Microsoft Project and other site -approved digital collaboration.
The use of the following site systems may be required: Emerson Distributive Control System (DCS), PI Data Historian, COA Database, Training Mine, Alfresco Document Management, Esker, and other plant specific operating or maintenance system.
The position requires proficiency with electrical and instrumentation tools and equipment including, but not limited to: drill press, grinder, porta-band saw/hacksaw, drill motors, rotary hammers, hand and hydraulic knockout sets, hole saws, cable cutters, mechanical and hydraulic crimping tools, conduit benders( electric, hydraulic, manual, EMT), jigsaw, sabre saw, soldering guns and irons, jet line vacuum system, cable locator, megger, Simpson meter, VOM, voltage tester, fluke LED VOM, threading machine, power pony, hand and electric threaders, electric cable puller and general hand tools(wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, etc)
Additional equipment and instrumentation tools include: tap and die set, phase rotation and phase indication meters, step and extension ladders, trencher, electronic testing devices, handheld recording ammeters, oscilloscope, multimeter, manometer, frequency generator and counter, decade box, pressure gauges, digital pressure indicators, pressure regulators, bead blaster, ultrasonic cleaner, high-pressure bottles, pH tester, tubing cutter and bender, bench grinder, torque wrench, hand pressure pumps, electric vacuum pump, temperature calibrator, digital VOM meter, tag engraver(electric/pneumatic), digital weight scale, transmation unit, AC/DC power supplies, thermocouple and RTD tester/simulator, Rosemount communicator, and Ametek calibrator.
