Vice President – IDS Transformation Manager

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President – IDS Transformation Manager to lead the execution of a significant transformation agenda across IDS.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for translating transformation strategy into measurable business outcomes across Product, Technology, Operations and Business functions. The successful candidate will provide senior leadership across a portfolio of transformation initiatives spanning Product Led Development, AI adoption, process modernisation and knowledge management, while establishing the governance, operating models and capabilities required to deliver sustainable change at scale.

Acting as a trusted advisor to IDS leadership, you will provide executive-level oversight of transformation progress, risks, dependencies and value realisation. You will bring the ability to operate strategically while maintaining a strong focus on execution, ensuring transformation initiatives deliver greater efficiency, predictability, scalability and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Transformation Leadership & Governance

  • Serve as a senior transformation leader and trusted advisor to IDS leadership on transformation strategy, execution progress and delivery outcomes.
  • Drive alignment across Product, Technology, Operations and Business stakeholders to ensure transformation initiatives deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain a robust transformation governance framework, including standards, KPIs, operating cadence and escalation paths.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies and trade-offs across transformation programmes, minimising disruption to business-as-usual operations.
  • Lead executive-level communication and reporting on transformation progress, outcomes and value realisation.

Transformation Strategy & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end execution of the IDS Transformation roadmap across Product Led Development (PLD), AI adoption, process modernisation and knowledge management.
  • Translate transformation strategy and vision into actionable programmes, milestones, priorities and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive the implementation and scaling of Product Led Development across IDS.
  • Oversee transformation across multiple product families, ensuring consistency and effective execution across teams and initiatives.
  • Partner with Product, Business Transformation, AI Labs and Systems leadership to integrate transformation initiatives into the broader product delivery lifecycle.

Product Led Development & Operating Model

  • Establish and institutionalise the PLD operating model across IDS.
  • Develop and embed effective frameworks for intake, prioritisation, backlog management and planning.
  • Drive adoption of consistent delivery tooling and practices to improve planning accuracy, transparency and predictability.
  • Address maturity gaps across areas including estimation, intake clarity, prioritisation and capacity planning.

AI Transformation & Innovation

  • Lead the identification, prioritisation and execution of AI-driven transformation opportunities.
  • Oversee the progression of AI use cases from proof of concept through to scaled adoption.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency, scalability and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Technology teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with business requirements.

Process Modernisation & Operational Excellence

  • Drive standardisation, optimisation and continuous improvement of delivery processes.
  • Establish governance and monitoring frameworks to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Improve demand and capacity alignment across transformation initiatives.
  • Enable the transition towards more agile and scalable delivery models.
  • Lead operational improvements that enhance efficiency, predictability and sustainability.

Portfolio Management, Insights & Reporting

  • Provide executive visibility into transformation portfolio progress and performance.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate KPI and OKR frameworks.
  • Develop data-driven dashboards and insights to support decision-making.
  • Monitor portfolio risks, dependencies and mitigation actions.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned with strategic business priorities and deliver measurable value.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of seniority.
  • Lead change management activities, including communication, training and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the successful transition to new operating models, processes and technologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Capability Building & Culture

  • Develop and scale transformation capabilities across IDS.
  • Coach and support leaders and teams in transformation and delivery best practices.
  • Promote experimentation, innovation and continuous learning.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives are embedded sustainably and continue to deliver value over time.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience leading complex transformation initiatives within financial services or a similarly complex and regulated environment.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide transformation programmes from strategy through to execution and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience developing and delivering transformation roadmaps, operating models and governance frameworks across multiple business areas.
  • Strong experience partnering across Product, Technology, Operations and Business functions, with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders in a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing programme and portfolio governance, including KPIs/OKRs, reporting, risk management, dependencies and benefits realisation.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, product-led development and modern delivery methodologies, with experience implementing or evolving operating models at scale.
  • Proven experience driving process optimisation, operational efficiency and organisational change.
  • Experience identifying and implementing opportunities involving AI, automation and emerging technologies, ideally with experience taking initiatives from proof of concept through to scaled adoption.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach, with experience using management information, dashboards and performance metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex risks, dependencies and competing priorities while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Excellent executive communication, influencing and presentation skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing teams or transformation capabilities, with a focus on building sustainable change.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, highly collaborative and matrixed environment.

Desirable

  • Experience within asset servicing, custody, fund administration, investment operations or a related financial-services environment.
  • Experience implementing or scaling a Product Led Development operating model across multiple products or product teams.
  • Experience delivering AI or automation initiatives within a financial-services environment.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar product and delivery management tools.
  • Experience working across multiple geographic locations and diverse, international teams.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
