INTRODUCTION:

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization established in 1925 with a mandate to provide meaningful employment opportunities for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians, primarily in security and related services.

Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, CGL delivers customized security solutions that address the evolving needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed security guard services, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement, and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

The Identification Services Administrator provides a broad range of administrative and operational support services to Security Management and the AMD organization. This role supports the Security Department’s primary objective of safeguarding personnel, physical assets, and intellectual property by ensuring all individuals working at or visiting AMD facilities are issued the appropriate authorized identification credentials.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain employee and contractor security records.
  • Provide identification badge support for multiple AMD locations.
  • Produce special badges upon request.
  • Activate and deactivate physical access badges.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly management reports.
  • Support, coordinate, and lead projects assigned by management.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies for the badging office.
  • Identify and respond accordingly to confidential information.
  • Administer, maintain, and develop SharePoint sites.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and management skills.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of security procedures and requirements.
  • Maintain data alignment across security-related applications.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly audits.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide passport and visa photography services.
  • Generate and maintain Data Centre access reports.

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Working knowledge of security management systems and applications, including but not limited to CCURE, SAP, and SAFE.
  • Experience in an administrative, security, or access control environment is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, employees, and management.
  • Strong active listening skills.
  • Ability to assess situations effectively and make informed decisions
  • Ability to identify critical issues accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to provide professional customer service in a walk-in environment.
  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
  • Flexibility and availability to provide support on short notice when required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
