Job Description

In this role, you'll:


Work as part of a team delivering support for the use of facial recognition capabilities, identity‑related investigations, and fraud detection involving licences, registrations and identity documents issued by Transport.

This role will see you investigate suspected identity fraud, verify proof‑of‑identity documents, prepare investigation reports and briefs of evidence, collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen POI processes, and contribute to policy and process improvements arising from identified control deficiencies.

You will implement improvements in fraud detection, identity verification accuracy and investigative outcomes in a fast‑paced regulatory environment requiring discretion, analytical thinking, timely advice and the ability to interpret complex data and legislative requirements.

Please note you are required to attend the office in Parramatta 5 days pw.

This is a temporary full-time role until 1 March 2028.

About you

Your records management experience, investigative exposure, and understanding of legal evidentiary and proof‑of‑identity requirements formed across regulatory, investigative, compliance‑focused or public sector service environments will see you excel in supporting fraud investigations, overcoming challenges of tight deadlines, confidentiality and complex data sets, and bringing strong analytical and documentation processes. You're recognised as an analytical thinker, skilled verifying identity information, preparing reports and supporting investigative processes,

experienced in conducting preliminary investigations, analysing identity data, liaising with stakeholders and applying legal and regulatory requirements.
