We are currently looking for an Audit Manager to join our Audit Delivery Academy in Bucharest, supporting audit engagements across Financial Services and Commercial sectors.

What will you actually do?

• Lead audit engagements in the financial sector or commercial sector, ensuring high‑quality delivery in line with KPMG methodologies, standards, and timelines.
• Manage, coach, and develop junior and experienced team members through on‑the‑job training, performance feedback, and formal learning initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with client management and internal stakeholders.
• Apply solid knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards, IFRS, or other relevant GAAP, ensuring compliance and sound professional judgment.
• Support management with KPI analysis, performance reporting, and engagement insights.
• Contribute to audit process enhancement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Support the growth of the client portfolio by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposal and business development activities.

Who are you?

• Experienced Audit Professional:
  At least 5 years of experience in audit and assurance engagements for medium to large clients within Financial Services or Commercial industries.
• Strong Technical Background:
  Solid understanding of Romanian Accounting Standards, IFRS, and the Romanian business environment (or other relevant GAAP and markets).
• Professional Qualification:
  ACCA, CAFR, or similar certifications are an advantage.
• Leadership Mindset:
  A confident people manager, able to lead teams, motivate others, and foster a collaborative and performance‑oriented culture.
• Analytical & Resilient:
  Able to deliver quality work under pressure and manage competing deadlines effectively.
• Communication Skills:
  Excellent English and Romanian (written & spoken). Other foreign languages are a plus.
• Driven & Collaborative:
  Self‑motivated, growth‑oriented, and committed to teamwork in a professional services environment.
