ICU Veterinary Nurse I
Provides patient care for ill and injured animals in the Veterinary Medical Center. This position will be primarily providing support to our Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care unit; Instructing and demonstrating techniques to students; assists students, veterinary technicians, and veterinarians in their work; maintains supplies, equipment, and cleanliness of hospital areas. Skills you will develop and utilize include emergency triage, patient stabilization, nursing care, knowledge of setup and assisting with emergency procedures. With four Boarded Critical Care Specialized Veterinarians and two Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Technician Specialists, we support and assist in your career development. All shifts available.

Experience in an educational setting; background in emergency medicine.

Lifting and carrying animals up to 50 pounds individually, or 150 pounds as a team.
TB risk or potential exposure to animal or specimens with Mycobacterium bovis. Work with animals or unfixed animal tissue. Wear a respirator (does not include paper dust mask worn for comfort).
