Sebring, Florida

Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Mixed Schedule | No Weekends
Compensation: $42.36 – $60.56 per hour (based on experience)

A leading acute care hospital in Sebring, Florida is seeking an experienced RN Manager – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to lead clinical operations and support high-quality patient care in a critical care environment.

This leadership role oversees a 33-bed ICU with 8-bed overflow capacity, working closely with the Nursing Director to maintain operational excellence, patient safety, and team engagement. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized leader, and experienced critical care nurse capable of guiding clinical teams and maintaining key quality metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for the ICU nursing team

  • Coordinate daily operations of a 33-bed ICU and overflow unit

  • Ensure compliance with ANA standards of practice and nursing ethics

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care

  • Monitor staffing, patient flow, and departmental efficiency

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of nursing staff

  • Maintain and improve quality metrics, patient outcomes, and safety standards

  • Provide mentorship and professional development for nursing staff

  • Address performance concerns and conduct difficult conversations when necessary

  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

  • 5+ years of Critical Care nursing experience in an acute care hospital

  • 3+ years leadership experience as Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, Administrative Supervisor, or Nurse Manager

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of hire

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Prior ICU leadership experience

  • Experience managing quality metrics and departmental performance
