Job Description

As our ICT Technical Analyst, you’ll provide first and second-line support across Hill’s offices and more than 70 live sites. From troubleshooting devices to configuring PCs and supporting infrastructure projects, you’ll be the one our teams turn to when tech needs to work fast—and work right.

It’s a hands-on, people-facing role where problem-solving meets customer service. You’ll help keep our systems stable, secure and smart—and you’ll play a vital part in helping Hill grow with confidence.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide professional, responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support—remotely, by phone, and on-site
  • Build and configure laptops, desktops and mobile devices for new starters
  • Support software installations, rebuilds and upgrades across the business
  • Log and manage tickets, escalating complex issues where needed
  • Liaise with third-party providers to resolve hardware and connectivity issues
  • Carry out daily backup checks and manage tape changes for main office sites
  • Install and maintain IT setups at new project offices
  • Help design and implement infrastructure improvements and support wider IT projects
  • Keep asset records, technical documentation and licensing up to date
  • Suggest cost-effective procurement options and raise purchase requests
  • Stay current with emerging tech and recommend innovations that support the business
  • Support Hill’s change control process and maintain H&S compliance

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in 1st and 2nd line support
  • Proficient in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with helpdesk systems and remote support tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Basic server and Exchange knowledge (2008R2, 2010)
  • Good understanding of IT security best practices
  • Experience managing tasks independently and escalating appropriately
  • Willingness to travel to regional sites as needed
  • Curious, collaborative and always ready to learn

What you’ll get:

  • 26 days holiday
  • Private healthcare and wellbeing platform
  • Hill Incentive scheme and retail discounts
  • Volunteering days and continuous learning opportunities
  • A high-performing and supportive team culture
  • competitive salary and package
