About this opportunity:
Candidate should be able to design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage and data protection solutions. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, data integrity, backup reliability, and disaster recovery readiness across on-premises and cloud environments.
What you will do:
Install, configure and maintain Rubrik CDM clusters, Upgrade Rubrik software and Expand Rubrik clusters.
Configure networking, cluster certificates, DNS, NTP, SMTP, LDAP, AD, SSI, MFA, RBAC, Encryption and TLS Services, replication, archival locations and cloud integration.
Perform health checks, cluster maintenance, firmware validation and patch management.
Must possess deep understanding of Rubrik CDM Architecture , Brik Architecture, Cluster internals, Distributed metadata architecture, Distributed filesystem, Cluster quorum, Snapshot architecture, Scale-out architecture, Data indexing, Data catalog.
Administer and maintain backup and recovery systems.
Configure and monitor backup jobs, ensuring successful data protection and recovery .
Implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies and perform DR drills.
Manage storage provisioning, capacity planning, and performance tuning .
Monitor storage systems for availability, performance, and security issues .
Troubleshoot storage, backup, and restore failures.
Ensure data retention policies and compliance with regulatory requirements .
Work with virtualization and cloud teams for integrated backup solutions.
Automate routine tasks using scripting tools.
Maintain documentation for storage architecture, backup policies, and recovery procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7 years of experience in storage and backup administration
Strong understanding of:
Backup methodologies (full, incremental, differential)
Disaster recovery concepts (RPO, RTO)
Hands-on experience with:
Rubrik Backup Administration and Management (MUST HAVE)
Backup tools (Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault)
Familiarity with:
Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
Operating systems (Windows, Linux)
Networking fundamentals
Experience with backup solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
