Our Head Office is based in Stockton-on-Tees and is home to our administrative support teams, engineering & maintenance support team & energy services teams. The Offices are located on the river Tees with close access to walks, shops and restaurants.

The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for an ICT Cyber & Information Security Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as you will take responsibility for delivering a broad range of key ICT Cyber & Information Security & compliance tasks, projects and activities within px. This may include working as part of a larger program of works ranging from the ICT Annual Delivery Plan to business growth initiatives such as site transitions/acquisitions in the UK and Abroad.

You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a pillar of px’s Information Security program by driving and managing InfoSec activities, ensuring success through collaboration with internal and external partners.
Refine and rehearse incident response plans, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and response to data breaches or cyber incidents.
Work with other teams to review, revise and practice RTO/RTS and Business Continuity plans. Conducting risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and weaknesses.
Review, implement, and enforce cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance policies.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
Manage ICT Cyber & Data security Risk Registers.
Ensure compliance with global data protection laws and standards, including GDPR, DPA, CMA, NIST, NIS2, and other relevant regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are highly preferred
• Previous experience as an Information Security Manager leading cyber/data security & compliance teams in a similar sized organisation(s).
• Experience managing an enterprise risk register.
• Experience managing InfoSec gathering and reporting metrics.
• Experience spearheading offensive security activities.
• Experience of Cyber Essentials, NIST, CAFM and ISO27002 standards and a proven track record in delivering against them.
• Conducting and participating in internal/external ISO27002/Cyber Essentials Plus audits. Maintain & developing an ISMS.
