The Technology Operations and Chief Information Officer Command is a critical enabler of the Australian Federal Police’s operational, investigative and corporate mission, by being responsible for the strategic leadership, delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient and innovative information and technology capabilities that underpin policing outcomes at a national and international level.
The Technology Operations and Chief Information Officer Command provides enterprise-wide stewardship of information, digital and technology assets, ensuring they are managed as secure, governed and enduring police capabilities. Through close engagement with operational stakeholders, the Command co-designs and delivers technology solutions that empower the frontline, enhance intelligence and information sharing, and maximise the AFP’s impact on the criminal environment.
Executive Level members of the Command operate in a complex and dynamic environment and are expected to demonstrate strong leadership, technical credibility and strategic acumen. Collectively, Executive Level members within the Command are responsible for:
The Technology Operations and Chief Information Officer Command is currently looking to engage highly capable applicants at the Executive Level. Although specific skills sets will be required for the current vacancies, the process may also be used to create a merit pool for future opportunities. The current vacancies are outlined below:
