ICT Cloud Engineer - 3/6 Month Contract

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in designing, managing, and deploying cloud services, focusing on Microsoft Azure and on-prem IT Operations.
• 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, including designing, implementing, and monitoring cloud environments, especially Azure.

Education

• Essential A current Microsoft Azure Certification track.
• Desired Degree in Information Systems or equivalent.

Collaboration

• Internal Company staff, Corporate Project Office, ICT Department, and Operations.
• External Suppliers and Third Parties.

Key Responsibilities

1. Azure Cloud Infrastructure Design, build, manage, and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure and services within the ICT cloud environment (40%).
2. Incident and Ticket Management Manage incidents and ticket requests within the ICT Operations cloud environment (40%).
3. Cloud Security and Compliance Ensure cloud security, compliance, and risk mitigation for Company Azure resources (5%).
4. Process and System Improvement Drive process and system improvements within the ICT engineering environment (5%).
5. Support Procedures Update and maintain support procedures within the ICT engineering environment (5%).
6. Stakeholder Relations Manage stakeholder relations and provide client service within ICT.

Skills and Expertise

Azure Cloud and Infrastructure

• Azure cloud infrastructure and services (A, E).
• Microsoft Azure Active Directory and identity management (A, E).
• Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation (A, E).
• Azure networking and security (NSGs, VPN, etc.) (A, E).
• High availability and load balancing within Azure (E).
• Monitoring and performance analysis in Azure (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) (A, E).
• Experience with Azure cost optimization and monitoring tools (A, E).
• Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) (B, D).

Backup and Disaster Recovery

• Disaster recovery methodologies (both on-prem and cloud) (A, E).
• Backup solutions (Azure Backup, Veeam for Azure) (I, D).
• Veeam Backup and Replication technologies (I, D).

Systems and Virtualization

• Experience in the deployment, implementation, management, and monitoring of Linux environments (RHEL/CENTOS/Ubuntu, etc.) (A, E).
• Experience in management of Microsoft Office365 and associated services at an advanced level (A, E).
• Experience in the design, implementation, management, and monitoring of Azure systems (A, E).
• Experience in the design, implementation, managing, and monitoring of Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware High Availability Clusters (I, D).

Scripting and Automation

• Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform) (B, D).

Other Skills

• Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving cloud-related issues.
